As many readers of this newsletter may know, my time with Corus Entertainment ended this past November. I’d spent 27 years with the company, including the past 21 as a talk show host with Corus Radio in Calgary. Times are tough in the traditional media industry, and these companies face difficult decisions when it comes to restructuring and downsizing. A lot of really good and capable people have been caught up in that. I was fortunate to have the opportunity that I did for as long as I did. I’m grateful for that.
Some lingering contractual matters have kept me from being in front of a microphone for the last five months, and I realized how much I’ve missed it. It’s obviously been an eventual and tumultuous 2025, and there’s no shortage of major issues and challenges still confronting our country and our province. There’s a different opportunity now presenting itself to continue these important conversations and so I’m excited to announce that I’ll be launching a new podcast later this month - May 20, to be exact.
The show will be hosted here (robbreakenridge.ca) and would then appear on all the normal podcast channels. The plan is to launch two episodes per week and to also hopefully make interviews available in video format. Things may evolve along the way.
There are some other projects in the works, too, and will hopefully have more to say on that soon.
If you have thoughts, suggestions, inquiries, etc., I can be reached at rob.breakenridge (at) gmail (dot) com

Oh yeah; that’s your natural habitat.
I’d love to hear some DETAILED discussions about healthcare in Canada - the Health Act, the private care allowed in Quebec and nowhere else, new funding models that could help.
Glad to see your making a podcast. Afternoons are less enjoyable since you left. Best of luck.
